Designing a basic 6x2" Strip
You can design a print layout in the Event Editor and automatically print it using either an AirPrint compatible printer or by using Breeze Hub (which acts as a print server and allows for the use of any Windows compatible printer). In this guide we will focus on printing with Breeze Hub, as it is the suggested method of printing.
In this Guide
Designing a Print Layout
Print Layouts are designed in the Event Editor. In this example, we will create a 3 photo, 6x2" strip with each image captured in a square 1:1 ratio. To modify or create your own layout, first Edit your event to access the settings.
In the General tab, we will set the Photo aspect ratio: to Square
In the Photos tab, we will set the Number of photos captured to 3
From the Photo tab Select Edit print layout... to open the layout editor. To start with a clean layout, right click on the Placeholder image for Photo 1 and select Delete (you can delete any other images that may be there also).
As we are printing a 6x2" strip, we will set the Print width and Height to 600x1800 pixels and enable the Print as double strip option (when the layout is sent to Breeze Hub it will be duplicated and printed on 6x4" paper). Then select Update Page Size & Set photo aspect ratio. This will resize the layout and individual to the correct size / ratio.
To add our images to the layout, right click on the blank layout and select Add Photo 1, and repeat for Photo 2 and Photo 3.
You can resize, reposition and rotate each image by clicking on it and dragging it to a new position, resize it by dragging the corner handles, or rotate it by selecting the centre handle and rotating.
You can precisely adjust the size and position of each image by right clicking on it, and selecting Edit Photo Position and Effects. Here you can adjust the exact Height and Width, its placement from the Left and Top of the layout and it's rotation. This allows you to perfectly align and size each of the three images on the layout.
Please see the guide on Print Layout FX & Compositing for more details on the other options.
You can add a graphical element, such as the name of a client to the layout by selecting Import logo/photo... and selecting a png or jpg file. You can then place it, size it and rotate it on the layout.
You can select a background color by click on the three dots ... next to Background color. Or, you can import a background and/or overlay file (ensuring they are sized the same as the overall print layout).
Once you are happy with your design, select the Save button.
