In this Guide

Startup Mode

The "Startup mode" setting determines the initial mode of operation: photo mode for capturing individual photos with optional effects, burst GIF mode for recording short silent movies with looping playback options, or video mode for capturing short videos with various effects like jump cuts and speed ramping.

Style Options

Select from various style options for photos, GIFs and videos, including normal color, monochrome, sepia, comic, or user-defined filters (filter1 to filter6), each offering unique visual effects to enhance your event experience.

You can create your own custom color filters / LUT's. See the Filters guide for details.

Mirror Effects

Specify mirroring effects for photo, burst GIF and video modes, including mirror off, mirror left/right, mirror top/bottom, mirror swap top halves, and mirror 2x2 mosaic, adding creativity and fun to your captures.

Aspect Ratio Settings

Adjust the photo aspect ratio to normal (4:3), square, DSLR 3:2, or video 16:9, ensuring optimal cropping and display for various devices. Similarly, set the screen aspect ratio to match device specifications, minimizing black borders and optimizing screen utilization.

Skin Smoothing Filter

Apply skin smoothing filter (aka Hollywood filter, or Kardashian filter) to enhance photo quality by smoothing skin tones and removing blemishes without compromising detail. Adjust filter strength for desired effects, balancing skin enhancement with natural appearance.

File Naming and Saving

Customize download filenames and folders for saved photos, GIFs, and MP4s, using tokens for dynamic information inclusion such as time and date, providing flexibility in file organization.

See the guide on Tokens for more details.

Screen Folder

The Screen Folder shows you were your screen assets, settings file, overlays and backgrounds are stored. You can view the file path, or press the "Open..." button to jump to the folder.

Overlay and Transition Options

Set overlay fade time for smoother transitions between overlay screen images, enhancing user experience. Adjust inactivity timeout and menu timeout for automatic screen closure and power-saving modes, optimizing device efficiency.

Power Saving and Standby Settings

Utilize power-saving modes to conserve battery life by reducing live view refresh rates and dimming screen brightness during standby. Access additional power-saving settings for optimal power management.

See the guide on Power Saving for details.

Virtual Props

Enable virtual props for interactive event experiences, allowing users to select props via touchscreen actions. Customize prop placement using the virtual prop editor, enhancing creativity and engagement.

See the guide on Virtual Props for details.

QR Code Scanning

Enable QR code string scanning and QR code command scanning for seamless integration with external devices and data capture systems, enhancing event functionality and user interaction.

See the guide on QR codes for details.

Background Removal

Choose AI background removal options for live view images, photos, burst GIFs, and videos. Access built-in or web-based AI background removal for high-quality results, requiring suitable device specifications for optimal performance.

See the guide on AI Background Removal for details.

Touchscreen Actions

Access the Touchscreen Editor to customize touchscreen actions for each screen, surveys, and keyboards, enhancing user interaction and event customization.

See the guide on Customising the User Interface for details.

Bluetooth Commands

Define commands for connected Bluetooth devices, facilitating seamless integration with accessories such as printers and controllers, enhancing event automation and workflow efficiency.

See the guide on using Bluetooth for details.
