Printing with Breeze Hub
You can design a print layout in the Event Editor and automatically print it using either an AirPrint compatible printer or by using Breeze Hub (which acts as a print server and allows for the use of any Windows compatible printer). In this guide we will focus on printing with Breeze Hub, as it is the suggested method of printing.
In this Guide
Breeze Hub Setup
In order to print with Breeze Hub ensure that you have installed it as part of the Windows Companion Apps. Breeze Hub must be running on a PC that is on the same local network as your Device and your printer connected via USB with the driver installed.
To set up your printer, open Breeze Hub and go to File > Printer Setup > Setup Default Printer. Adjust your printer settings as necessary (paper size, orientation, cutting etc).
Next you need to enable the Sync Service in Breeze Hub. This allows device(s) to connect to Hub.
To do this go to File > Preferences and check that Enable sync service is enabled along with Print Photos. There are additional printing options you can enable if required. You can learn more about these in more detail in the Breeze Hub guide.
Breeze Booth Setup
Once you have Breeze Hub setup on your PC you then need to Connect to Breeze Hub in the Breeze Booth app.
On your device open the Breeze Booth App and go to Settings. Enable Connect to Breeze Hub. If successfully connected you should see the PC running Breeze Hub and its IP address listed next to Hub.
Event Editor Setup
You need to ensure that you have set up printing in the event itself. There are two steps to this.
- Edit your Event, and in the Photos tab, ensure that the Number of prints is set to at least 1 (if it is set to 0 your layout will not automatically print). Setting the number of prints higher than 1 will automatically print that number of copies.
- From the Photos tab, click on Edit Print Layout... here you can set the pixel size of your print layout (this should match the paper size you are printing on) and adjust any other settings as necessary.
Testing
When you are happy, save all your changes. If everything is connected and enabled, you can run a session through Breeze Booth to make sure it all works.
In Breeze Hub, if successfully connected you will see the Device listed in the Connected devices list in Breeze Hub.
The log will show that the print layout has been downloaded to Hub and successfully printed.
