What is a Profile?
A Profile is a collection of assets, including your settings file and manifest file (which lists file checksums for updating events on devices), along with a Screen Folder which contains your User Interface screen designs and your creative designs (eg print overlays, video backgrounds, virtual props etc). The location of this folder can be found in the General Settings tab in the Event Editor.
Events can comprise of one or more profiles, each stored in a separate subfolder within the event's folder. Profiles offer flexibility, allowing users to offer choices to guests or tailor settings for different orientations. Users can specify default and initial profiles for event startup and define touchscreen actions to load specific profiles during the photo booth session.
Football Team Example
You are doing an event for a football game, and you want users to pick their favourite team. You could have a profile for each team, so not only is the print layout branded for that team, but every single screen the user interacts with could be team specific.
Multiple Shot Options
You are doing an event where you give users the choice of taking a single 6x4" image or a 3 shot 6x2" photo strip. You can have one Profile for the 6x4" image, and one for the 6x2". You could design a menu screen that links to the respective options.
